As a spirit filled Believer, I want to expound on the importance of the Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in other tongues. First and foremost, the Word of God speaks that we have a treasure in an earthen vessel (2 Corinthians 4:7) which I’m excited to share with you. The treasures that the Apostle Paul were speaking of is the third person of the Trinity [Holy Ghost]. The Holy Spirit, the personification of Charisma and also including the whole kit and caboodle of the nine gifts of the Spirit and their operation. (See 1Corinthians chapters 12 and 14) To explain in-depth the nine gifts of the spirits is beyond the scope of this article.
Secondly, the Baptism and speaking in other tongues is the gateways to the supernatural. Speaking in other tongues is a process, similar to learning a new language. The more you spend time in your prayer closet, praying in the Holy Ghost the more you’ll be incline to be in tune with Spirit of God and also charge with dynamos power. For instance, Jude 20 talk about building up yourself in your most holy faith. Praying in tongues, it’s like charging your spiritual battery for self-edification, as well as tapping the revelatory gifts of the spirit. And the Holy Spirit being our intercessor He will prays the perfect will of God for you when engage yourself in praying other tongues. (Romans 8:26-28). The Bible also says when you speaking in other tongues you are speaking unto God and the natural mind, doesn’t comprehend your prayer language it seemingly appears like foolishness. However, you can ask, the Holy Spirit for the interpretation if needs be.
As I mention from the outset, speaking in other tongues is the gateway to the supernatural . And the phenomenon of speaking in other tongues its for every believer whomever is hungry and desire to go beyond the natural realm of mediocrity. There’s more to our Christian pilgrimage that meets the eye. It’s sad to say why so many people who are so cynical about speaking in tongues. Unfortunately many Christian believe that speaking in other tongues think that it’s a bunch of gibberish. Paradoxically this type of myopia thinking is what the devil want us to believe. Conversely, when the devil encounter a spirit filled Christian who knows his/her spiritual inheritance, and authority, the devil will literally shake in his boots. To outsmart the devil you must be spirit-filled (because the Holy Spirit is infinitely wise beyond our physical senses. In order to walk amongst wolves we must be wise as a serpent especially in these dark and perilous times. (Matthew 10:16).
Apostle Paul who contribute and wrote thirteen books of the New Testament which he accredited his revelations through the medium of speaking in other tongues. It’s notable to know that, Paul wasn’t one of the original twelve Apostle. Therefore it’s unequivocally that Paul attributed the download of his revelations from the Spirit of God. Including the thirteen books of the New Testament Epistles and foundational and plan of God for the early Church and the 21st century Body of Christ and beyond. Paul’s revelations is uncanny, its [comparable] to what Moses of the Old Testament who received upon Mount Sinai, the Ten Commandments, and the first five books of Torah of the Old Testament. That’s extraordinary.
If you’re hungry for the supernatural, and you’re willing to pursue the gifts of the Spirit, especially to prophesy, that’s not being haughty or prideful. It’s congruent with the Word of God. It’s the natural progression in pursuit and fulfilling your spiritual destiny (1 Corinthians 14:1) Attest: who Paul admonish the saints at Corin to follow after Charity but also follow earnestly after spiritual gifts as well, especially to prophesy to edify, exhortation, and comfort the Body of Christ.
As I alluded above speaking in tongues is the gateway to the supernatural. I’d like to share personal encounter with you while I was attending Rhema Bible College. Back in early the 90’s I had a lot prophetic dreams and trances. Consequently, I can vividly recall one in particular. It was early one morning while I was laying down, I became immobile, [frozen] while awake, the bed appears to be spinning. The Lord let know I was going in circles, spinning my wheels. More recently, my encounters with the Holy Spirit are regarding the Presidency. From President Clinton including our current President [Trump]. Whether through a dream or vision, God would reveal to me who would become the next President of the United States before they were elected. It’s very extraordinary, yet very humbling.
Finally, I’m still hungry for the supernatural, to prophesy, to give a prophetic word of knowledge in season or see into the spiritual realm which is the operation of discernment of spirits, etc. In fact, it all comes down to how willing am I to pay the price of praying in other tongues. Yes, indeed I will, it’s a labor of love. The men and women of God who pay the price of prayer were phenomenal, who transcend the natural to walk in the supernatural. The Scriptures declare, many are called but few are chosen: For instance: John G Lake, William Seymour, William Branham, Aimee Semple Mcpherson, and Smith Wigglesworth. It’s evident that They attribute their success in their ministry was through praying in other tongues. I emphatically believe that’s why they were iconic. And there’s no doubt that’s why they all walk in the miraculous. (Hebrews 13:7-8 Amp)
