Times And Seasons

August 20, 2023

The Scripture Declares: To every thing there is a time and a season under the sun (Ecc 3:1). Sometimes in our prayer life we wonder why our prayer isn’t being answered. Its not that we aren’t venerable enough or having enough faith or knowledge in the Word of righteousness. Unfortunately, we persist, asking, seeking and knocking. In Addition, we pray, fast, sow seeds, we bind and loose the adversary only to be frustrated not knowing why our prayer aren’t being answered. Probably, you’re saying prayer is such  an enigma, its a mystery and myriad of rules.

Regarding why our prayer is not being answered in your specific dilemma, it’s not that you don’t have enough faith or not being resourceful or we are not living right or making affirmation of Scripture concerning our petition. However, there are three basic possibilities to answer prayered–Yes, everything is in alignment, according to the WORD and the will of God. Secondly [no] its not the will of God for you regarding your circumstance and petition. As the old atage goes: “not everything that glitter is gold”. Thirdly, God may say for you to wait, its not the right time or season at this giving moment and time. For example, Abraham and Sarah was childless, God told Abraham that he would have a son, and his descendance shall be like the sand of the seashore. Abraham got impatient with God and had relation with Sarah’s handmaid and Ishmeal was conceived out of the will of God. Regrettable that’s why we see the scenario and the fiasco that we see playing out in the Middle East today!

Understanding the times and seasons not only applicable in getting your prayer answered, but also making the right decisions, according to the WORD and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In fact, when you understand time and season–you’ll know the timing of getting married. Also your spirit will bear witness when to move to another city or switch to new Job’s or whatever you deem important; beyond your ability to navigate, you’ll have inner peace. The sons of issachar understood the times what Israel ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32). Although the sons of Issachar, were smallest tribe of Israel, however they understood the times and seasons according to God’s prophetic calendar. As a result, they were in tune to the frequency of God. And part of King David’s wise men which they were men of renowned. David benifited from their spiritual insight and strategic battle plan of war (1 Chronicles 7:1-4).

What’s dangerious about not understanding times and the seasons of God: when you should be pursuing a career, you opt for marriage instead, or vise versa–Which in either case could cause uncessary turbulence and disruption in the plan of God. Frankly, not understanding the times and seasons for our lives can be also be platomatic which is an indication that we’re not attuned to frequency of God for the purpose and the plan of God for our lives. Consequently, if we don’t make the necessary corrections, the dilemma could prove to be debilitating and the plan of God could be out of alignment for years. For instance, the children of Israel, failure to discern the timing and the season of God, to possess the land of canaan to their spiritual inheritance. According (Bible Scholars) their journey to the Promise Land; what should’ve taken eleven days, took forty years. Unwitting they frustrated the plan of God for their lives.

To be relevant today, like the sons of Issachar who were attuned to the Spiritual realm. They were purvey the times and seasons of God’s prophetic calender. Unequivocally their are no substitute to spending time in the presence of God. Our modern sons of Issachar must be willing to seek His face especially in this ominous and pivtol geopolitical season (Genesis 49:14-15). The Bible explicitly asserts that It’s God who change the time and seasons, and He give wisdom to the wise… (Daniel 2:20-21). Undenible we’re living in the End-Times which the calamity that’s upon the face of the earth its nothing short of the Apocalypse. The next President of the United States would be advantageous to have some spiritual fortitude to the times and seasons and the imminent return of Christ who’s our Blessed Hope (Titus 2:13). Its equal important to understand the cataclysm that we’re facing its not coincident or happenstance which is paving the way of the Antichrist as well (2 John 1: 7). He will be an imposter who will deceive many, claming to be God to be the panacea of a savior and restore peace to the chaotic world. I encourage you to stay faithful to the true and living God, hang in there, our redemption draweth nigh (James 5:8).
